Ingredients:
• 1 ½ pounds of sirloin steak.
• 1 large onion and 2 bell peppers (any color).
• 2 cloves of garlic.
• 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp brown sugar, ½ cup beef broth, 1 tbsp cornstarch, and ½ tsp black pepper.
• 2 tbsp vegetable oil for cooking.
Instructions:
Prepare the Steak:
• I season the sirloin steak slices with black pepper.
Mix the Sauce:
• In a small bowl, I combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, cornstarch, and black pepper. I set it aside.
Cook the Steak:
• In a large skillet or wok, I heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil over high heat. I brown the steak slices and set them aside.
Sauté Vegetables:
• In the same skillet, I add the remaining oil and sauté the sliced onion, bell peppers, and minced garlic until they are just tender.
Combine Steak and Sauce:
• I return the cooked steak to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. I pour in the sauce mixture and stir until the sauce thickens, coating everything evenly.
Serve:
• I serve the pepper steak hot, preferably over rice or noodles.
